Welcome!

I am a registered psychologist (CPBC #2111) who specializes in the psychological treatment of children, youth, adults, and families. Most commonly, people come to see me for help with depression, anxiety (including Panic Disorder, phobias, social anxiety, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), self-harm/suicidal ideation, behavioural concerns (such as conduct problems), social difficulties (including bullying and isolation), and relationship difficulties within families. I have a range of clinical experience in individual, group, and family therapy modalities and have been trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques known to be effective in helping people who are experiencing emotional distress. When treating children and youth, I not only work one-on-one with them, but I also place an emphasis on working with parents to help them better understand what their child or adolescent is going through, to find ways for parents to better support their child, and to improve attachment relationships within families.

Please take a look through my site for more information on my background, how I work, and my views on psychotherapy. If you’re interested in getting in touch to discuss whether therapy would be helpful for you, your child, or your family, I’m always happy to talk by phone. See the contact page for details about how to reach me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Martin
